General Information to know:
Artists need to be present in their workspace both days of the Tour, November 3 & 4, 10:30-5:00. You might plan to have a helper in your studio for the weekend for busy times.
Artists are encouraged to offer an participatory project or mini workshop during the tour. This is not required but visitors have given great feedback regarding the hands on activities that have been offered. These should be short, 5-10 minutes, so participants will have time to tour more studios. We will be asking if you plan to have a demo/or activity, so it can be listed on the brochure. These are popular with attendees and might bring more visitors to your studio.
We will provide you some branding items and the logo for your use in promoting the event via your own social media accounts, email lists, etc.
There will be a professional brochure with a tour map and event posters for participants to distribute prior to the event. Our goal is to have these available around 5 weeks before the Tour Weekend. Individual Artists are expected to take an active role in promoting the event.
Tour Street signs-each application fee includes one sign. We are working on a method to let people order and pay for more signs if they need them to help people find their studio.
The application fee is $45, and the money goes towards promotion of the event and promotion materials. This fee is per individual artist.
There is no commission on sales you make during the event.
The tour is 100% volunteer run, the organizers who coordinate the event also participate in the Tour, we are available for questions and guidance before the event weekend.
We have one sponsor, Visual Grease is donating time and design expertise again for 2018 for our brochure and poster.
Applications are open through August 8.
You will find the application is here on our website. Don’t wait until the last day if at all possible, as we may not be available for last minute assistance and you don’t want to miss out on the Tour.
If you have problems with the application, please email us at [email protected] and we will help you out as soon as we can.
If your application does not meet entry criteria, you will be notified by August 15 and a full refund issued, otherwise your application fee is non refundable.
