I believe in the power of everyday objects to make life more enjoyable. Whether it’s drinking coffee from your favorite mug, eating from a beautiful bowl, or sharing drinks with friends, these intimate interactions with clay can intensify one’s day or encourage one to contemplate the beauty of utilitarianism. My goal is to create objects with an aesthetic beauty and form that can be appreciated in each use. I use a porcelain clay body combined with subtle glazes and strong black line work to create welcoming, soft pots. Sleek wheel thrown and hand built forms are inviting to touch and to become part of one’s daily ritual.
