My artistic influences started from the time I was in the womb. My mother was an artist and gallery owner, and my father reconstructed smiles for a living. Art of the great masters such as Picasso, Alexander Calder, Georgia O’Keefe, Toulouse La Trec lined the walls in our home.
Here in Montana, I have discovered vintage pickup trucks embedded in the fields, as though they are part of the landscape. Within the same vista, I find old barns, as well as farm and ranch animals that inspire me as well. I mix and match these images, until I find a compelling combo to recreate on my canvas.
